FileAtlas（以下「本アプリ」）は、Windows のローカルファイルシステムを地図のように可視化する読み取り専用のファイル探索アプリです。本ポリシーでは、本アプリが取り扱う情報、その利用目的、保存場所、外部送信の有無について説明します。

1. 取り扱う情報

1-1. ファイルおよびフォルダーのメタデータ

本アプリは、ユーザーが選択したドライブ、フォルダー、ファイルを表示・探索するため、以下のようなメタデータを端末内で取り扱う場合があります。

  • ファイル名、フォルダー名、パス
  • ファイルサイズ、更新日時、種類、拡張子
  • フォルダー配下の件数、合計サイズ、種類別の集計情報
  • 地図表示のために生成される座標、レイヤー、GeoJSON 相当の表示データ
  • アクセスできなかったパスやスキップされたパスに関するログ

本アプリは、ファイルの削除、移動、リネームを行わない読み取り専用の探索ツールです。また、ファイルハッシュの計算やファイル内容検索は行いません。

1-2. 画像サムネイル

画像ファイルが表示対象になった場合、本アプリは OS の機能を利用してサムネイルを非同期に取得し、地図上の表示補助に利用する場合があります。サムネイルは本アプリ内の表示のために使用され、開発者のサーバーへ送信されません。

1-3. アプリ設定およびユーザー操作情報

本アプリは、利便性向上のため、以下の情報を端末内に保存する場合があります。

  • アプリ設定、言語設定、地図レイヤー表示設定
  • ブックマーク、クイックアクセス、現在の表示状態
  • UI 状態、選択中のパス、最近利用したパス
  • ファイル種類カタログ
  • アプリログ

1-4. WebView2 および表示コンポーネントに関するデータ

本アプリは地図表示のために WebView2 と MapLibre GL JS を利用します。WebView2 の動作に伴い、キャッシュやプロファイルデータが端末内に保存される場合があります。

2. 利用目的

本アプリは、取り扱う情報を以下の目的で利用します。

  • ドライブ、フォルダー、ファイルを地図上に表示するため
  • サイズ、種類、更新日時などに基づくレイヤー表示を提供するため
  • 検索、選択詳細、ブックマーク、クイックアクセスを提供するため
  • 表示設定や UI 状態を保存し、次回利用時に復元するため
  • エラー調査や動作確認に必要なローカルログを保存するため

3. 保存場所

本アプリが生成するデータは、主にユーザー端末内の AppData\Local\FileAtlas 配下に保存されます。保存される可能性がある主なデータは以下のとおりです。

  • fileatlas.db
  • logs\app.log
  • config\app-settings.json
  • config\bookmarks.json
  • config\ui-state.json
  • config\file-types.json
  • cache
  • webview2

SQLite データベースは、ファイルシステムを表示するための破棄可能なローカルインデックスです。必要に応じてユーザー操作により再読み込みされます。

4. 外部送信・第三者提供

本アプリは、ファイルやフォルダーのメタデータ、サムネイル、設定情報、ログ情報を、開発者のサーバーへ自動送信しません。また、これらの情報を第三者へ販売・共有・公開しません。

ただし、以下の通信が発生する場合があります。

  • WebView2、Windows、Microsoft Store など、OS または関連コンポーネントの通常動作に伴う通信
  • MapLibre の glyph など、表示コンポーネントの仕様によりオンライン参照が含まれる場合の通信
  • ユーザーが明示的に外部サービスやネットワークドライブ等を利用した場合の通信

これらの通信は、各サービス提供者、OS、アクセス先の仕様およびプライバシーポリシーに従います。

5. ユーザーによる管理

ユーザーは、以下の方法で本アプリに関連するデータを管理できます。

  • アプリ内でブックマークや設定を変更・削除する
  • AppData\Local\FileAtlas 配下のローカルデータを削除する
  • WebView2 のキャッシュやプロファイルデータを削除する
  • 本アプリをアンインストールする

アプリのアンインストール後も、一部のローカルデータが端末内に残る場合があります。不要な場合はユーザー自身で削除してください。

6. セキュリティ

本アプリは、ユーザーデータを主としてローカル環境で扱います。ただし、端末のセキュリティ状態、OS設定、ファイルやフォルダーの権限設定、ネットワークドライブの管理状態等に依存する部分があります。OS、WebView2 Runtime、関連コンポーネントを最新の状態に保ってご利用ください。

7. 子どものプライバシー

本アプリは一般利用者向けであり、13歳未満の子どもを主たる対象として設計したものではありません。

FileAtlas (the "App") is a read-only Windows file exploration app that visualizes the local file system as an atlas. This policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, where it is stored, and whether any external transmission occurs.

1. Information Handled by the App

1-1. File and folder metadata

To display and explore drives, folders, and files selected by the user, the App may handle the following metadata locally on the device.

  • File names, folder names, and paths
  • File sizes, modified dates, file types, and extensions
  • Folder item counts, total sizes, and type summaries
  • Coordinates, layers, and GeoJSON-like display data generated for atlas rendering
  • Logs for inaccessible or skipped paths

The App is a read-only exploration tool and does not delete, move, or rename files. It also does not calculate file hashes or perform file content search.

1-2. Image thumbnails

When image files are shown in the current view, the App may use OS features to asynchronously retrieve thumbnails for display on the atlas. These thumbnails are used only within the App and are not sent to the developer's servers.

1-3. App settings and user operation data

For usability, the App may store the following information locally.

  • App settings, language settings, and map layer settings
  • Bookmarks, quick access entries, and current view state
  • UI state, selected paths, and recently used paths
  • File type catalog data
  • App logs

1-4. WebView2 and rendering component data

The App uses WebView2 and MapLibre GL JS for atlas rendering. WebView2 may store cache or profile data locally as part of its normal operation.

2. Purposes of Use

The App uses handled information for the following purposes.

  • Displaying drives, folders, and files on the atlas
  • Providing layer views based on size, type, and modified date
  • Providing search, selection details, bookmarks, and quick access
  • Saving display settings and UI state for later use
  • Storing local logs for troubleshooting and diagnostics

3. Storage Locations

Data generated by the App is mainly stored locally under AppData\Local\FileAtlas. The following data may be stored.

  • fileatlas.db
  • logs\app.log
  • config\app-settings.json
  • config\bookmarks.json
  • config\ui-state.json
  • config\file-types.json
  • cache
  • webview2

The SQLite database is a disposable local index used to display the file system. It can be rebuilt by rescanning when needed.

4. External Transmission and Third-Party Sharing

The App does not automatically transmit file or folder metadata, thumbnails, settings, or logs to the developer's servers. The developer does not sell, share, or publish such information to third parties.

However, the following communications may occur.

  • Communications caused by normal behavior of WebView2, Windows, Microsoft Store, or related components
  • Communications caused by online references included in rendering components, such as MapLibre glyph resources
  • Communications caused when the user explicitly uses external services, network drives, or similar resources

These communications are subject to the specifications and privacy policies of the relevant service providers, OS components, or accessed resources.

5. User Controls

Users can manage App-related data in the following ways.

  • Change or delete bookmarks and settings within the App
  • Delete local data under AppData\Local\FileAtlas
  • Delete WebView2 cache or profile data
  • Uninstall the App

Some local data may remain on the device after uninstalling the App. Users may delete it manually if it is no longer needed.

6. Security

The App mainly handles user data in the local environment. However, some aspects depend on the device security state, OS settings, file and folder permissions, and network drive management. Please keep Windows, WebView2 Runtime, and related components up to date.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for general users and is not primarily designed for children under 13.
